Think about that day and you’re walking through the mall.
Suddenly, two teenagers shout at you: “Oh my God! I can’t believe you’re the one I’m seeing. I’ve learned so much from your blog. Can I take a selfie with you? I want to show it to my girl friend.”
You stand there, transfixed. Blinking your eyes to be sure you’re quite awake.
Suddenly the whole mall stands still. People start staring at you. Then you just realized you’re in the real world.
Welcome to the community of rich and famous bloggers.
People like you are experiencing the same unbelievable moments just because of the wisdom they share to bless other people’s lives.
It’s real. It’s in your face. All over the web. But away from the drama and everything. This feeling is one of the most irreplaceable things these bloggers enjoy.
That moment you feel some tear escape your eyes seeing the “walking ” impact you’ve made in another person’s life. It’s just amazing.
And it’s amazing because that’s how it’s supposed to be.
As humans our greatest happiness is not in the things that happens to us but in the things we make happen to others around us.
That’s why we go to school so we can benefit our world. We start a family so we can raise kids and give them a beautiful life.
We work so we can add value to others while getting paid in return. And funny enough we only get more when we give more.
In today’s post, I’m going to scoop up most of what we’ve discussed at various instances about blogging.
I will add up genuine insights so we can come up with a mini checklist of the great stuff you can do to become a celebrity blogger.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a writer, author, entrepreneur or small business owner.
Whoever you are, you’re going to learn a great deal with this post.
And then if you go ahead to really apply what you learn here, I can assure you, you’re going to experience the difference in a few months. You’re going to become a renown blogger.
Alright, let’s dig in.
So what can you really do to become a celebrity blogger with an ordinary website?
** You can become a CEO of your blogging business!** Exactly. I’ve been emphatic on this throughout the series of tutorials on this blog. I think becoming a CEO is the most exciting part of owning a website.
It gives you the chance to become the boss. So like me, you can start addressing yourself as my name is AiiBeeCee. I am the founder of XYZ.com.
Imagine how amazing you’ll feel saying that. ???.
Tell someone you’re a founder of something and look at the expression on their face.
The moment you say that, their perception of you changes instantly. You immediately become some whizkid in their eyes. And then your brand. Oh everything changes.
I remember how i felt when one relationship blogger addressed us on our last relationships conference, two years ago at church.
We were like, “Wow! Relationship blogger. Great!”
I can’t recall how much great stuff she shared but we gave her so much regard.
The guy that handled the session made her look so like one great guru.
Perhaps she really was a guru. Perhaps she wasn’t. The truth is, I really admired her. In my mind, she was a star.
Come to even think of it, that it’s just her blog that helped her do all this. It’s really cool. Seriously.
You know I love this celebrity ish. (or who doesn’t love it? Lol). I know you do too.
And it’s just normal for you to stand out and be celebrated for what you do. Because you work for it.
So if you’re already thinking about becoming the next famous blogger? You’re right on point.
But before you dash out to live your dreams, I want you to check out how to become a celebrity blogger.
1. Choose a topic. Find out one thing you’re great at, blog about that consistently.
It doesn’t have to be something you have been certified on. It could be something you’re learning about. You can share your experience as you learn.
I’ve seen so many folks build high end income blogs out of a research project they started to share with the world.
It could also be something you’re passionate about. Say creating games. Writing poetry, music, dancing. Anything you’re sure there are people interested in it.
2. Create a vision. What exactly do you want to achieve with your blog?
Is it to eventually launch a coaching program, books, products, services or to evolve into a media house?
Find your vision/mission and write it down clearly.
3. Write a business plan. If you’re aiming to get something great out of your blog then you must get serious. Start out as a business.
So sit down and write yourself a business plan for your blog. Define your audience. Indicate what you intend to achieve at certain points in your blogging journey. What it will cost you. Set milestones for your progress etc.
From time to time, track and measure your growth based on this business plan.
4. Create a writing calendar. Most coaches advise that before you start you should be able to come up with at least 20 post written down before launching out, so you won’t lack something to post on your blog.
Personally, won’t say it’s a rule. You can start with your immediate post. But then writing down some posts before hand is a great thing to do.
Also, think about creating your writing calendar before you start out.
You can decide to create a full annual calendar. Break it down into monthly, weekly and then daily posting themes, depending on your posting schedule and blog niche.
5. Show up consistently. One thing that keeps you growing in the blogosphere is consistency.
Based on the depth of the stuff you share, your readers will always be eager to read your posts. Don’t disappoint them.
It’s so sad to look at a website and not see any new post after weeks. Leave your blog dry and your readers will leave.
Consistency counts a lot. Especially when it comes to building your brand loyalty.
Also the search engine values blogs that are updated consistently with great stuff. This really helps your rankings.
6. Launch a product or services: When you grow a good number of readers, create a product or service.
It could be a book or coaching services. You don’t have to be a super star blogger to do any of these.
Just write a book sharing your story, the journey and the wisdom gained. And how people can repeat the same experience Share it. Spread the word and grow your brand.
Start a coaching program. Preferably, make it free. Teach folks what you learned along your journey. Document it and keep it so you can make it into systems for future coaching.
Get their recommendation and testimonials, share it on your social platforms. Spread it on your website. You’re building social proofs at no monetary cost.
7. Volunteer. Take up good projects that will get you in front of your audience. Give it your best shot.
This is how I got to know that my relationship blogger friend I mentioned earlier, she volunteered to mentor us free for that day.
Don’t just take up anything. You don’t have so much time so go for what is relevant to your niche audience.
8. Guest post on other people’s blog. Doing this gives you a link back to your blog most times. It also introduces you to a whole new audience.
9. Network. Co-host programs with other bloggers in your niche.
10. Promote your website on the social media. Have a social media strategy that works across your social media platforms.
11. Work. Learn. Grow. Give your readers a chance to grow with you. The beauty of this whole thing lies in the growth you experience within yourself and your readers.
12. Stay focused. Persist. Don’t run away because someone just told you about better opportunities.
Stay and grow your hustle. Running away will only get you going round and round in circles. Complaining and staying broke.
I have experienced that myself. I wouldn’t want it to happen to you. Be an inspiration to your readers.
13. Get a brand and promote it. This perhaps should have been the number one sub head on the list.
You need a brand. Decide how you want people to see you. Be consistent in projecting the brand across all your social media platforms. And websites.
There are tons of ideas to create an outstanding blog for your self and business.
This is where I’ll stop for today.
Do look around this website and scoop up some great ideas like this. And if you need more, don’t hesitate to buzz me.
