So digital advertising (aka internet advertising) has not only come to stay, it’s already competing heavily with offline adverts… And why shouldn’t it?
According to a research by Magna, a media agency, digital media will take out 44 percent of all money spent on advertising in 2018.
As if that’s not almost shocking enough, it’s estimated that this figure will rise up to 50 percent by the year 2020.
Of course more people are having greater access to the internet from different parts of the world compared to their television and newspapers so digital advertising can only increase per year at least over a certain period of time

You know that the year 2017 is behind you and it doesn’t matter if it is a good one and a bad one. The only thing you can take with you in 2018, is your experience.
Trends which were good in 2017, may not work in the 2018 so it is important to enter a new year with a blank slate. So, what are the trends you have to know about in the following year?
Change your ads to video
Video has proven to be better at showing your product than any other advertising method. If you haven’t already switched to videos, I suggest you do that asap because people are more willing to trust a video than a picture.
We are all aware that Photoshop is out there so if there are 10000 filters for human’s face, there are twice as many for your products.
Even though I believe that most serious businesses don’t use that on their pictures, I still believe more when I see the video of the product than the picture.
Do you have a website optimized for mobile phones? Everything has to be Android and iOS oriented because people use their mobile phones now more than ever.
It doesn’t matter if they are riding on the train, drinking coffee, standing in the line in the supermarket; people’s eyes are glued to the mobile screen.
I admit myself, I do that way too often and most of the time I “google” on the phone, especially if I am ordering.
That means if your site is not responsive and I can’t move around it on my phone, I will close your tab and look for someone who can give me that. You can be certain that I am not the only one. Actually, when you think about it, you too do that, right?
Chatbots: You can find Chatbots on almost every site at the moment, especially if they are selling something. Chatbots are cool, they are some sort of a customer support, but do you really need them? Depending on what you are doing.
For example, if you are relying on SEO to bring you visitors then you don’t have to have a Chatbot, because people will come to you by Google.
That means that people will write a question and Google will answer them by providing your website.
If the majority of your traffic comes from Facebook or Google ads, then I suggest you get a good quality Chatbot because those people came to your site because they want to buy something from you. A customer support is awesome in situations like those, right?
As you can see, you have to adjust your website as much as it is possible to the users. Your most important task is to provide users good and quality content because that is the proper way to have big public and regular clients.
